Dawn Hough Sebaugh's colorful journey from abstract artist to fashion designer has captured the attention of numerous magazines and media outlets, giving her an expanding presence in the worlds of art, fashion, photography and lifestyle publishing.
In 2025, Dawn appeared on the cover of SHIFT Magazine, where she and WALA were the subject of a major fashion feature. The issue showcased Dawn as an abstract artist turned fashion designer and included an extensive WALA fashion pictorial highlighting her models, fashions and the original artwork that inspires her clothing.
Dawn has also contributed to Mind Body Soul Magazine, including her article “Empowerment With Fashion,” exploring the relationship between clothing, confidence, individuality and women's empowerment.
Her creative work has additionally appeared through Local Umbrella Media, where Dawn has contributed photography and participated in fashion and community coverage. WALA fashion events have brought together art, fashion, entertainment, philanthropy and charitable causes—an important combination that has become a signature of Dawn's fashion presentations.
Dawn has also been associated with LaRouge Magazine, further expanding her media presence across fashion, art, photography, lifestyle and community events.
East County Magazine has followed Dawn's creative journey and provided significant coverage of both her artwork and WALA.
In July 2023, the publication featured Dawn in “Local Artist Creates Wearable Abstract Art,” introducing readers to the unusual concept behind Wear Art Live Art and explaining how Dawn transforms her original paintings into fabrics and fashions.
East County Magazine later covered Boots & Belles, describing how Dawn's colorful designs originate with her abstract paintings and are transformed into distinctive fashions. The coverage highlighted the contemporary Western styling of the collection, with cowboy hats, boots and buckles complementing Dawn's vivid WALA designs.
The publication has also recognized another side of Dawn's artistry—photography—publishing some of her photographic work over the years.

Dawn Hough Sebaugh was born in Mooresville, North Carolina and currently lives in the San Diego, California area. She received a BA in Marketing from Pfeiffer College in North Carolina and a Degree in Color and Design from Parson's School of Design in New York. She also attended fine arts programs at Denver University in Colorado. Dawn began her career over two decades ago.
